Best Dressed list of 2003
August 4, 2003 -- People en Español’s best-selling issue -- the “Best & Worst Dressed” -- hits newsstands today and unveils the most-talked about fashion hits and misses of 2003. Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Adam Rodriguez, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek and Thalia are among the 50+ celebrities featured in this much-anticipated issue.
The “Best & Worst Dressed” issue captures the ten best and worst dressed celebrities -- all clad in the most daring, trendsetting and fashion-forward--and-backward designs. Multi-talented actress, singer, designer and entrepreneur Lopez wins People en Español’s Editor’s Choice for best-dressed celebrity of 2003. Whether she’s all
glamed-up or sporting her signature sweats, Lopez is always at the forefront of fashion.
“Jennifer has an amazing gift for fashion versatility,” says People en Español’s Fashion & Beauty Director Maria Francisca
Rocha. “She’s able to reinvent herself effortlessly every time she walks the red carpet. Her winning sense of style ranks her among one of the leading fashion icons of all time.”
Oscar nominee Hayek also appears on the magazine’s “Best Dressed” list. The Mexican beauty, known for selecting designs that embrace her Latin roots, is the epitome of a true Hollywood starlet. Leading Latin designers such as Narciso Rodgriguez and Carolina Herrara are among Hayek's favorites – creating exclusive designs that seamlessly captivates her mesmerizing curves.
Latin-pop crossover star Thalía joins Lopez and Hayek on the best-dressed list, and is best known for exposing her petite frame in skin-baring designs from Emanual
Ungaro. Besides heating up the fashion scene, the sexy wife of music mogul Tommy Mottola is also topping the airwaves with her recently released hit single, "I Want You," featuring Fat Joe.
Other Hollywood divas securing positions on the top-ten best dressed list include Oscar winners Kidman, Berry and Reneé
Zellweger; Oscar nominee Diane Lane; actress Adamari Lopez; Telemundo’s María Celeste Arrarás; and singer Mille

Vergara, whose lack of fashion sensibility often left her body overexposed – and over-read in the gossip pages.
“Our ‘Best & Worst Dressed’ issue is a favorite among our readers,” says Richard Pérez-Feria, Editor of People en Español. “It’s also a favorite among the entire staff. This year it was unanimous that Jennifer Lopez and Eduardo Verástegui were the two celebrities who rightfully deserved to top the list.”
And just who are the best-dressed men in Hollywood? Chasing Papi Mexican actor Eduardo Verástegui snags the top-spot, and is followed by Washington, Rodriguez, Carlos Ponce, Mathew
