September 9, 2008 -- Cuban actress and entrepreneur, Eva Mendes is taking a break from acting and making commercials to create a new line of home decor products named "Vida"

The sexy Cubana announced the launch of her Latin-inspired home décor line, Vida, which will be available exclusively at Macy’s.

Designed by Eva and her business partner George Augusto, Vida promises five bedding styles featuring rich colors, dramatic patterns, the highest-quality fabrications and romantic touches at an affordable price.

“Vida is about easy luxury – the colors, fabrics and textures that I live and love, brought to life in a stylish, comfortable and affordable way,” Eva Mendes said on Friday. “I’m excited to partner with one of the strongest names in the retail industry and to see my passion for design come to life.”

Vida goes on sale at Macy’s and Macys.com in mid-September.
