Jennifer Lopez might land lead role in "Dallas"

17, 2006 -- One of the biggest television hits of the 1980s,
"Dallas" is being remade by Fox as a big screen movie with a lot of famous
names. It has been reported that John Travolta and Latina superstar
Jennifer Lopez might have lead roles in the movie version of the TV series
Dallas according to Variety magazine. If all goes as planed, Travolta will play J.R. Ewing and
Jennifer will play Sue Ellen Ewing, J.R's alcoholic wife.
Lopez has been keeping herself busy in the movie industry recently filming
both El Cantante with her husband Marc Anthony and the Gregory
Nava-helmed Bordertown. Travolta recently came off Lonely Hearts
with James Gandolfini and Salma Hayek.
"Dallas" which will be directed by Robert Luketic, is no stranger to Lopez. He loved working with her on
"Monster-In-Law" which he directed and has been interested in finding something
else for her them to work on together. Other names being mentioned for the
flick include Luke Wilson as Bobby Ewing and Shirley MacLaine as Miss Ellie. |
