Clear Channel Radio teams up with Christina Aguilera
September
1, 2006 -- Clear Channel Radio has teamed up with pop superstar Christina Aguilera to kick off the company's new online video on-demand
service called Video Six Pack.
The new on-demand video feature includes six music videos personally selected
by the Sony BMG artist. It also offers an archive of six of her own videos,
including her original breakout hit "Genie in a Bottle" and her latest release "Ain't
No Other Man."
Through this partnership, Clear Channel Radio also is releasing audio streams
of six tracks from Aguilera's latest CD, "Back to Basics," and a recording of a
one-on-one interview of Aguilera with Los Angeles radio personality JoJo Wright.
"Since Clear Channel Radio launched videos on-demand in January on its radio
station Web sites, the popularity has grown to an average of 2.5 million plays
per week," says Clear Channel Radio Executive Vice President Evan Harrison, who
also heads the company's online unit. "Having Christina Aguilera launch the company's newest on-demand show could
continue to build upon that momentum."
Aguilera is coming off a career-best first week sales number for her third
album Back to Basics.
In the future, Clear Channel Radio will pick additional artists to host their
own Video Six Pack shows.
