Lauren Sanchez to host new reality series on FOX
June
28, 2005 -- Sexy Latina news anchor and Emmy award winner Lauren
Sanchez, has been tapped to host this summer's hottest dance series, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, premiering Wednesday, July 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Sanchez, who began her career at KCOP-TV, UPN 13 has held positions at the cable channel
FSN, serving as anchor/reporter for "Fox Sports News Tonight" and as a correspondent for "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" and
"Goin' Deep," where she earned an Emmy nomination for an in-depth investigative report. She also has served as a correspondent for "Extra."
Sanchez has appeared in several major films, including "Fight Club" starring Brad Pitt and "The Longest Yard" with Adam
Sandler. She will next be seen in "Fantastic Four" starring Jessica Alba and Chris Evans.
Lauren is also a volunteer for the Special Olympics and she is very involved in the Hispanic community. So

FOX teams up with the creators of AMERICAN IDOL and the producers of "The American Music Awards" and "American Bandstand" on the ultimate search for the nation's best dancer in SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. If you think the AMERICAN IDOL competition is tough, you haven't seen anything yet! Some contestants will collapse under the pressure, others will reveal their two left feet and one will dance his or her way into America's heart.
