Lauren Sanchez & Randy Jackson to host new talk show on FOX
September
1, 2005 -- 20th Television, the US syndication unit of 20th Century Fox TV, is developing a
talk show to be hosted by American Idol judge Randy Jackson and Lauren
Sanchez, host of Fox’s summer series So You Think You Can Dance. Though the show has a potential fall 2006 launch, little else is known of the proposed
talk show.
Broadcasting & Cable magazine reports Fox TV is looking at an "urban Regis & Kelly" for a younger, hipper audience with Jackson and
sexy Latina news and sports anchor, Lauren Sanchez.
Jackson, a Grammy Award-winning producer, has worked on over 1,000 gold and multi-platinum albums with such artists as Destiny's Child, Madonna, Elton John, Celine
Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and others during his 20+ years in the music industry.
Sanchez, who was an entertainment reporter for Fox’s KTTV-Channel 11 News, also works as an anchor/reporter for Fox Sports News Tonight and is a correspondent for The Best Damn Sports Show Period and
Goin' Deep. She has appeared in several films, including Fight Club, The Longest Yard and Fantastic Four.
Neither Fox nor Endeavor, the agency that represents Jackson and Sanchez, would comment on the
report.
