Jennifer Lopez debuts her long-awaited "JLo
Lingerie"
August 10, 2004 -- Singer,
actress and now designer Jennifer Lopez
has launched her long awaited lingerie line titled “JLo Lingerie by Jennifer
Lopez.”
The lifestyle collection which
includes bras, panties, loungewear and sleepwear, will be carried by
Newark-based Bare Necessities,
www.BareNecessities.com, whose total sales place it among Internet
Retailer magazine's 2004 list of top 50 online apparel retailers. "This is
the most exciting lingerie launch in quite some time," said Maureen Stabnau, VP
of Merchandising for Bare Necessities. "The combination of Jennifer Lopez and
high-fashion lingerie is a retailer's dream. Shoppers have been longing for a
high-fashion celebrity intimates line, and we're so excited that Jennifer Lopez
is the first." Lopez' Embroidered Chiffon collection features asset maximizing
fanny wraps, sweetly sexy onesies -- a fabulous modern take on the teddy -- and
pin-up girl chic Retro Hipsters. Offered in a palette of rosy pinks and rich
reds, JLo Lingerie by Jennifer Lopez offers women something missing in the
foundations market -- hip, modern styles with a confident, feminine edge. Sleek
microfiber Boyshorts, classically modern Pointelle Racerback Tank and Short
sets, racy Chiffon Baby dolls with matching thongs and ultra soft Polar Fleece
Robes round out the Collection.
Lopez, 34, is launching the ad campaign for her lingerie range on August 10.
The campaign is shot by photographer and director Glen Luchford and is modeled
by Brazilian beauty, Ana Beatriz.
