Christina Aguilera promises next
"Stripped" world tour will be raw
Tickets go on sale, March 13th
March
9, 2004 -- Pop superstar, Christina Aguilera promises that the next leg of her Stripped world tour will be "raw, and different from anything I've done before."
Aguilera, who teamed up with Justin Timberlake last summer for an extensive tour, kicks off a 29-date trek May 13 in Auburn, Washington, according to her publicist. Featuring rapper Chingy as the opener on all dates, the outing concludes July 3 in Clarkston, Michigan (see "Chingy May Tour With Christina Aguilera This Spring").
"I am so excited to be touring again; I want to give my fans an experience they'll never forget," Aguilera said in a statement.
Tickets for most shows will go on sale between March 13 and March 20.
Aguilera is touring in support of her latest album, "Stripped." Released in October 2002, the RCA set debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200. Chingy will be out behind his Capitol debut, "Jackpot," which debuted in August 2003 at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
In other news, Aguilera's "El Beso Del Final," from her 2002 Spanish-language album "Mi Reflejo," is among the tracks on the "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights" soundtrack (J Records).
